If you like the satisfaction of turning raw pieces into polished, finished products, this might be your kind of role. We’re looking for an Assistant Finisher who takes pride in hands-on work and wants to be part of a team that produces high-quality, custom visual projects at scale. This is one of our busiest departments, but it’s also one of our most collaborative, where people here step in for each other, share knowledge, and celebrate the finished result together.
In this role, no two days feel exactly the same. In this entry level role, you’ll move projects through the finishing process, working with a mix of tools, materials, and techniques. It’s work that rewards attention to detail, consistency, and a steady pace. You’ll need to be someone who follows directions well, shows up reliably, and takes safety seriously, from PPE to shop procedures. At the same time, you’ll have room to learn, cross-train, and build new skills alongside experienced teammates.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands and cares about doing things right. You bring a positive, can-do attitude, communicate well with others, and keep your workspace organized. You’re just as comfortable working independently as you are jumping in to help the team when needed. You notice the small details, take ownership of your work, and feel a sense of accomplishment when a finished product leaves the shop looking its best.
The day-to-day work involves preparing and finishing surfaces for paint or powder coat and final presentation. That includes sanding, masking, using fillers, organizing and staging parts, and eventually assisting with painting or powder coat processes under supervision. You’ll handle a variety of tools, everything from sanders and sprayers to hand tools, and help move products through the workflow efficiently. Along the way, you’ll keep an eye on quality, flag any issues, and work with the team to meet production goals and deadlines.
This is an active, physical role in a shop environment. You’ll be on your feet for much of the day, moving materials, bending, lifting, and working with equipment. The environment can be loud and may involve exposure to dust, fumes, and other shop conditions, so following safety standards is essential. Physical stamina, mobility, and comfort with both hand and power tools are important for success here.
We’re hoping to find someone with previous experience in a shop, manufacturing, or similar setting, but just as important is your willingness to learn, ask questions, and stay accountable. Strong time management and attention to detail go a long way. Basic computer skills are helpful for accessing project information in the shop. You’ll need reliable transportation to get to work, and flexibility is important, this role can include overtime, longer days, or occasional weekend work when production demands it.
If you’re looking for more than just a job, if you want to build skills, contribute to a team, and take pride in what you create, this could be a great fit.
