Director of Accounts
Portland, OR
Full Time
Accounts
Manager/Supervisor
At Axiom Custom Products, we’re not your typical fabrication shop. We’re a design studio-meets-full-service build powerhouse based in Portland, partnering with organizations, artists, designers, and builders to bring big ideas into the real world. Think immersive retail activations, architectural environments that stop people in their tracks, and art installations that make you look twice. If it can be imagined, we’re probably already figuring out how to build it.
We’re looking for a Director of Accounts who’s ready to step into a role that truly matters. This isn’t about babysitting spreadsheets or sitting quietly in status meetings. This is about leading the charge on our most important client relationships, shaping the future of what we build, and guiding a team of account managers to do the best work of their careers. You’ll report directly to the owner, and you’ll have a real seat at the table as we chart our next chapter of growth.
You’ll be the person our clients trust when the stakes are high and the timelines are tight. You’ll build deep, strategic relationships and turn ambitious ideas into actionable plans that align with real budgets and bold expectations. You know how to command a room filled with executives and brand leaders, but you’re just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves with internal teams to define scope, strategy, and next steps. You’ll negotiate contracts, spot new opportunities before anyone else does, and turn client feedback into forward-looking momentum.
Inside our walls, you’ll inspire and elevate a talented group of account managers, fostering a culture where excellence isn’t optional. You’ll partner closely with Sales and Leadership to expand our portfolio, strengthen our account fundamentals, and continuously improve the systems that keep us sharp. You’re someone who sees process as a creative tool, not a constraint, and you’re always looking for smarter ways to work.
We’re looking for someone with serious experience, six to ten years in account management, including significant time in a senior role, who understands the operational realities of a creative fabrication environment. You’ve taken projects from a spark of an idea to something tangible and physical. You know brand experience, fabrication, creative tech, event production, retail execution, or construction.
You’re financially savvy, an exceptional presenter, and a strategic thinker who can juggle big-picture vision with day-to-day details. You care about mentoring others and genuinely enjoy helping people grow.
This is a fast-moving, high-energy environment where innovation and client satisfaction drive everything. Travel is part of the deal; you’ll spend time at our studio and shop, and you’ll occasionally head offsite, sometimes across the country, to meet clients and support projects in person. Oh, and there are dogs in the offices at the Studio and shop.
Our way of life promotes hard work, but health and family always come first. We ask employees to give us their all, and in turn, we help them live a rewarding work life with the balance they need to enjoy their career at Axiom. We offer an opportunity for growth, an excellent salary, paid holidays, 401k and ROTH 401k investment options, subsidized medical with voluntary dental and vision benefits (and additional cost dependent coverage options). Best yet, in year two and beyond you accrue 20 days of PTO!
If you’re energized and inspired by creative collaboration and motivated to drive both client satisfaction and profitability, this might be your next chapter. The salary range is $115,000 to $125,000. It’s a chance to head up an accounts team that pushes boundaries and builds extraordinary things.
We’d love to hear your story. When you apply, use the cover letter section to introduce yourself. Nothing overly formal is needed. Tell us a bit about your background, what draws you to Axiom, why you’re a great fit. If you’re ready to build something remarkable and grow with a company that values skill, integrity, and dependability, go ahead and apply. We’re looking forward to meeting you.
