Your day starts shortly after the shop floor fully hums to life at Axiom Custom Products. Coffee in hand, you’re scanning drawings, reviewing timelines, and mentally mapping out how raw materials will become something remarkable. Around you is a team of creatives and craftspeople who know their trade and count on you to help orchestrate it. Because here, delivery doesn’t happen by accident. It happens by design.
By mid-morning, you’re deep in it. A chat with an Account Manager to refine scope. A quick huddle with the builders on your project to troubleshoot a fabrication detail. A conversation with the Finishing Manager about a patina that needs to be just right. You’re moving between estimating, planning, development, production, and installation without missing a beat. You understand how things are built because you’ve built them yourself. You know what it takes on the floor, and that hands-on knowledge shapes every schedule you draft and every budget you manage. Profitability isn’t an abstract concept to you, it’s a direct outcome of the decisions you make all day long.
Before lunch, you’re reviewing spreadsheets and drawings, adjusting timelines, and checking material lead times. After lunch, you might be in your car heading to a local site visit, walking a space with a general contractor, or checking in with a designer to ensure the final product aligns with the original vision. Your driver’s license gets used, and so does your ability to read a room. Relationships matter here. You’re not just managing projects; you’re building trust with clients, contractors, architects, and designers who will come back again because you delivered.
Back at the shop, the energy is high and deadlines are real. You thrive in it. You love the craft, the detail, the precision. Managing multiple projects at once doesn’t overwhelm you, it energizes you. Budgets, workflow, production schedules, materials, millwork, casework, trade show builds, retail environments, you’re learning the specifics of our world inside and out, then turning that knowledge into action. You’re organized, collaborative, and motivated by seeing a project through from concept to final install.
By the end of the day, you’ve mitigated stumbling blocks, solved problems, strengthened partnerships, protected margins, and kept projects moving forward. You’ve been the connective tissue between vision and execution. It’s critical work. The kind that keeps a leading-edge manufacturing company running smoothly and profitably.
